What games do you consider to be a must have for any XBOX owner?

I am pretty bored with what I have now, and I am certainly not up on all the games that have comeout over the last couple years.

Go ahead, make suggestions, various genres, and even a little explanation why a certain game is such a favorite. Thanks

Heres a couple of my favorites:
True Crime Streets of LA-like grand theft auto only the hand to hand is much better.
Conflict: desert storm and its sequel, back to baghdad.
Vietcong Purple Haze-new release and a very good first person shooter, although the AI can be a little brain dead at times.
Shellshock nam '67-also a fairly new title.
either of the Rainbow Six games.

I also hear that Riddick, which is based on the movie Chronicles of Riddick is supposed to be one of the best games to come out this year but I have not gotten around to playing it yet.

HALO! (Even though I don't have XBox, I play HALO on my PC)

By now, you should be able to get it for less than $30, possibly less than $20.

Is there an X-Box game similar to "Twisted Metal 2" for Playstation? That game is a classic.

Crazy Taxi is good for random destruction and insane driving.

Call of Duty and Brothers in Arms are about to come out on Xbox and both are insanely good WW2 shooters. Star Wars Jedi Academy is a good hack and slash (lightsabering stormtroopers is always good) and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is THE best RPG/fighter game on the Xbox, at least until KOTOR II comes out...

I have both, and they were well worth it.

Star Wars: Republic Commando is a no-Jedi FPS from a clone trooper's point of view, looks sweet. Comes out in a few months.

Elsolo, this comes down to personal preference with what you like. But I personally like FPS of any type. I alway go back to GR & GRIT. I can't wait for GRII to come out. But, I do like any game that I can shoot something in. I know True Crimes was recommended earlier but I do prefer Grand Theft Auto Double Pack better. TC's has better graphics but GTA has better play. As you get into TC, it gets a little absurd, such as fighting demons!!! GTA stays to it's core.

what i have and like so far:

HALO, this game is the reason I bought an XBOX

Ghost Recon, I like it better, you can't just run around waiting to get shot at them turn and blast a dozen bad guys.

Crimson Skies, this one was fun, but I like dog fighting, I would have preferred it less cartoonish. It seems like the intended audience on it was young.

I do like FPS games, probubly my favorite genre. I think I need a driving game as well. There have to be just some games that get a "must have" recommendation from XBOX owners, that's how everybody ranked HALO, so what others are just as necessary for the collection?

The only game I really play is Halo. When you can play online against other people it really doesn't get old.

Rainbow Six 3 is good too and you can play it online through XBOX live.

But Halo reigns supreme, even if you aren't able to play online see if you know anyone else with an XBOX and link them up. Get some friends to come over and play 4 vs. 4 games. You can play against each other on one box and TV but it's not that good since you can look at what each other is doing.

Best Games gor the Xbox are (imho):

    1. Splinter Cell
    2. Splinter cell PT
    3. Star Wars KOTOR
    4. Halo
    5. Return to Castle Wolfenstein
    6. Madden 05
    7. Madden 04

These all come to mind right now. Honorable mention is Desert Storm 2 Back to Baghdad, Rogue Ops and aalmost forgot Midnight club 2. Psi-ops is fun also. Future games like Splinter cell 3, Halo 2, and the next Star Wars RPG look like they ar gonna be great. Also look out for Unreal Champions 3, StarCraft Ghost, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, Doom 3 and Snowblind (a new FPS)

Here is a list of my favorites that I own:

    Splinter Cell
    Splinter Cell PT
    Wolfensteinn
    Ghost Recon
    Ghost Recon IT
    Rainbow Six3
Hitman SA & Contracts- good games, not great though
Soldier of Fortune- graphics are weak, but game play is good

For driving games, there is no question in my mind:
Project Gotham Racing I & II

I am not into sports so I can't say about them.

There are a few retro sets out there that are fun to play especially if you want to go old school. Also I know Atari is putting out a new set. I haven't checked into it yet, so I am not sure what games are included.

If you have a Game Stop near you or something similar check them out. Alot of times you can buy a used game that is alot cheaper than new, also look into Xbox's Platinum Hits. They are all $20.

    Also check out

    XBOX & Also check out

GameSpot Both are good sites to get info.

Well, if I could think of the games that I really enjoyed and would actually miss. . .
    Halo
    Star Wars KOTOR
    DOA3

No FPS I have played on Xbox has compared to Halo.
KOTOR is easily the best RPG I have played on the system.
DOA3 is hands down the best fighter.

That is not to say there are other good games, but those three have replay value and Halo and DOA3 can be played with friends.

Hey, we got Freedom Fighters for PC! Pretty good. I like the simple and easy "squad" control for guys who are with you. Stay here/defend, follow me, and attack! Honestly, what other commands do you really need?

The plot has a couple twists, and the "Russian" broadcasts are funny.

    Here are some XBOX titles:
Roadkill: Cool W666 radio soundtrack blaring in a Mad Max style world.
Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge" -the videogame that helped to inspire "Sky Captain".
Secret Weapons over Normandy:WWII dogfighting game.
Godzilla: Destroy all Monsters Melee: Cool monster combat game in which you can battle other monsters while wrecking modern cities.
