My stepson will be shooting his first GSSF match this next weekend at Roseburg, OR. My question is , is he allowed to carry the G17 he will be shooting in a holster, in the required way of course, with the slide locked open, etc. or does it have to be bagged in a gun rug or other box? By the way he is 14. I haven't really seen it written in the Glock report as to age and how to transport the gun around the match for an junior shooter. Let me know if any of you have experienced this situation.
    thanks Bruce

The same rules apply to Junior shooters as do to adults. Slide locked back in a holster is fine, except possibly for matches in NY.

Thanks Danny for the info. I'll get him a Fobus so he can pack it at the match. It will make it handier. Bruce
