I recently bought Half-Life 2 and had trouble trying to install. My PC was unable to read the Disk while trying to install. So I took the game back and got a new CD... and upon trying to install on my PC again the disk couldn't be read. I thought perhaps it was my PC but my PC recognizes all my other gaming CD's. Plus my wife's PC wouldn't read the disk. Should I just give up on Half-Life 2 or try returning for a 3rd time?

What would you do? I'd like to play this game, but it's really becoming a lot of trouble.

    Thanks all.

I don't currently have a DVD player on my PC... but that's about to change in a week or so.

I'm not sure if this is a DVD... but tell me how I can know for sure. Heck, all disks look the same to me.

I don't have any trouble playing Doom 3 or Unreal, so I figured Half-Life 2 would be the same. Perhaps I have the wrong format on the Disk.

    Thanks.
