Does anyone have an AA prefix Gen 1?
If so, can u please post the barrel date code? Even better, pics of your gem?
I'm interested to know the barrel date code of these guns.
Thanks!!

Thought so too but not sure.

There was a guy last year who said so but seemed to be lying.

Fantastic G17!!!

Your contributions to this forum are incredible.

Cool nod to my G1 19. Thanks :).

I didn't catch that AA barrel on GB. Wonder what happened to the gun.

I can't wait to read that thread in more detail when I have time.

It's interesting that the first imported AF guns have barrels made a few months before the AA guns.

I can fill in some date codes for several early prefixes that were not imported into the US. I have the SN and barrel date codes for these guns (AB, AC, several others).

I can fill in some info from my Gen 1s and ones that I've owned and sold as well.

I'll do this as soon as I have time. Might be this weekend.

Thank you, sir!

The AA barrel was a luck find, IIRC the opening bid was $350 - all I wanted was the info lol. I don't know who got it, but there was a winning bid.

What I am finding interesting is the Bx-prefix. Date codes are not what you'd expect AND not too many that I have found info on.

I'd love to add any info you have!

My pleasure. Most welcome. Thank you!!!

My very first Glock which I bought new back in the day is BZ8xx. Date code is: VTT.

Back then I had no idea that Glocks would evolve as they have nor that I'd collect them. To think which Glocks that I could have purchased back then, for how much and had I done so and kept them 100% NIB like all the semi-rifles which I purchased in the 80s.

I have so much to do but when Glock collecting comes up I can't help myself but to take a few minutes to catch up on it....

So, I looked at the pics from my European buddy's guns.

Here is is:

All Gen 1 17s except where noted:

Gen 1 17 L BK GTY or T. Can't make out the last letter exactly. I'll ask him.

AG ATF

AB NTF

Early AB (i.e. 1xx) LTF

Early AC (0xx) NTF

AV ETH

BH ETT

AC NTF

Gen 2 G20 BSE SDH

I can fill in many of the blanks for US Gen 1 17s, 17 L, 17 LP, etc. I'll go into the vault this weekend and will post the info.
