This question is for the ladies out there! How many of you ever fired the G23 .40 S&W ? What were your thoughts on it? Would you carry it for CCW?...Thanks in advance!;c

    Does a 27 count?
I have one and I love shooting it. It's less 'snappy' than my 17, although I'm not sure I would have wanted to start out shooting it.

When I'm wearing jeans, I'll take it along, but it's way too heavy to wear to work. I have a Comp-Tac slide that I wear about 11 o'clock. It's got the forward cant (don't remember what it's called), so it sits alongside my tummy. If I blouse my shirt or wear something that doesn't tuck in, you can't see it and it doesn't get in the way when sitting.

The 23 would be a little harder to hide, but it is possible. I can wear the 17 in a SmartCarry (with jeans - looks perverted in a dress).

Well, I'm not a lady. I just took two ladies shooting this week. After firing a G19 G22 G23 & G27, they both liked the mid framed Glock 19/23. Since we are in Kalifornia, they don't have CCWs.

Well I just got my wife to try the G23 because of her hand size. She likes it alot better than my G22.

I enjoyed firing it...but for CCW, I use my 36 slimline.

I'm a woman, and I shoot a Glock 22 very comfortably, and I'm looking forwards to owning a Glock 30. But then, I'm very atypical...I competed in powerlifting at the national level (benched 240, squatted 375, deadlifted 390), and am described by friends as "one seriously badass woman you wouldn't want to dream of messing with. Let's put it this way--in my house, I open jars for my husband. Seriously. I also compete in whitewater kayaking and paddle up to Class 4 rapids, so I'm pretty damned bold. I've shot my grandfather's old Colt .45 revolver when he was alive, too, with accuracy. (Oh, yes, and all this badass-ness does have one drawback--I do get tired of people thinking I'm a lesbian when I'm not, not that there's anything wrong with that.)

    But that's just me. :)

Hey Tam, You go girl! You can watch my six anyday of the week. I wish more women would be less timid and liberal. I have nothing against any woman who can hold her own. Although its nice when she can be gentle as well. Keep the faith ! ;f

If I recall correctly, the 23 had rails...which I didn't need on a gun for concealed carry...also the 23 *I think* holds 10 rounds and the .45 holds 6. The overall "feel" of both upon firing was about the same to me...upon rapid firing the 23 fatigued me a bit, the web of my hand hurt, (possibly because of the magazine capacity 10 v. 6). The .45 just fits me better as its slightly smaller. Hope this helps:)

Hey, my husband likes to joke that he married me because my gun collection was better than his! Our first real 'date' WAS to the pistol range...

I like the 23 and it fits my hand well, however, on me it's too big to conceal well. I'd go with the G27 in that case. That being said, if I had to carry a Glock, it'd probably be either the G30 or the G36. I figure if I can carry the 27, may as well have the more powerful round at my disposal.
