    FFL Holders:

Anybody got the laws down on this?
I've been talking to an LEO on another board. He say's you don't need to send a gun through an FFL if you are sending to an FFL. In other words, do I need to have an FFL send a firearm to the recipients FFL, or can I take it to UPS and tell them what it is and ship it to the receiving FFL holder myself?

Please don't answer if you don't have first hand definitive knowledge on this.

    Thanks

He is correct. I receive firearms from individuals every day. I am an FFL . It is legal to ship a gun to an FFL for repair or refinishing.
The federal Law says one FFL is required.

You mention repair and refinishing. How about a straight sale. Can a gun be sold from person to person, and sent by the seller to the purchasers FFL for transfer, or is it just for repairs etc?
