I got a phone call from a fellow rider that one of the guys that we ride with now and then just got ran over by a car in a hit 'n run. Don't know if the cops are going to catch the driver. Apparently the guy pulled over to the side of the freeway to adjust his tank bag and got hit by a car. His bike apparently wasn't even touched. I'm a bit shocked because this is not just somebody else but a person that I actually know. People wonder why I have additional drive lights front and rear and wear bright, reflective clothings...well, this is why. Be visible. Be aware of your surroundings. Make sure that your stuff is ready to go once you get on your motorcycle and don't use your bike as a dressing room. There is no room for complacency when you're on two wheels. RIP, Dave.
