I have read so much gushing about the baby 26 that I think I will grab one tomorrow. Should I stick with Gen 3 or do you recommend the Gen 4? I want to join the baby 9 club. I am big-handed so backstraps are not essential. But maybe it's a better gun. Or maybe with the backstrap off it is a smaller gun. Anyway, either way, my 17 & 23'll have a little bro.

Thanks guys -- I have a feeling that it all comes down to preference. There's no real "wait, don't get the 4 because it sucks" -- I am going to leave it stock, though I might get some sort of grip tape like Agrip Grips or Talon Grip Tape or GripTape or Decal Grip or Gorilla Grip or maybe nothing at all.

Both should be awesome choices. I did opt for the Gen 3 and love it. The Gen 4 didnt have anything i really needed badly and since i am carrying combat cut style IWB i prefer the less aggressive grip. Once again just preference. HOld each and see what YOU like. :)

I am happy to hear that the Gen 4 isn't like Classic Coke -- that people actually like them versus "the version that make Glock suck." Thanks, everyone.

Congrats on the G26.
I don't own it yet, however, I will be heading off to get a feel for them and, alas, will probably be coming home with one. I have never seen a pistol receive such universal love.

It just seems to be a favorite amongst everyone and anyone who does not have a hatred for the round that doesn't "knock someone down" such as the .45ACP-lovers, the 10mm-lovers, and the .40S&W-lovers, all of whom live in a world of 400lb PCP-addled raging murderous madmen!

That's why I bought the G23 that I love: I bought the knock-down, man-stopper hook, line, and sinker.

No regrets but 9mm Glocks are so lovely to shoot.
