A couple of dessert questions:

1) When making strawberry shortcake, have you ever added anything like syrup or strawberry juice to those berries?

2) Has strawberry rhubarb pie an equal? (Man, I sincerely think not.)

We just use sugar. Let them sit a few hours and they will make their own syrup. You can add vanilla or liquors if you like.

Works well with peaches and berries too. Any fruit that has enough juice to wet the sugar will make its own syrup. If it is a drier fruit, add some liquor.
