....a few hours in the shop and viola, a 'new' 1911! Now off to see how she shoots.
It's a great feeling to put the first rounds through one you built yourself.
I cheated a bit on the Made in USA routine with the slide and a few current Springfield Armory parts.
Sweet, how much you into it for?
-7790314 hard slide
-SA barrel/MSH (used)
-Hogue alloy grips
I the ejector needs a bit of tuning and she is shooting a bit to the left but other than that she is good2go! The GI sights gave me 'minute of chest' at 21' Danced the oil can out to 70 feet or so.
This one is getting a Caspian light rail and will take nightstand/road trip duty.
Nice solid GI replica...........love it!
Nice job. Looks great. What is the finish on that.
Very clean! Good job
thanks, simple is good. Things will be better after some ejector tuning as the brass hits me in the nose!
parkerized after it's first rub of CLP
Looks great Flipper.
