Congratulations on finding a gun that you won't "shoot pieces of your anatomy off" with. I love hearing people insult themselves.
Good for you.
Yeah the 1911 habit is hard to break once you start shooting one. They are one of the easier handguns to shoot well for most people.
It is not a surprise that next year is it's 100th year use by the US military. I once read somewhere that the only 2 things surely to be on every space ship in the future will a at least one 1911 and a roll of Duct Tape. I can believe it.
Glad your on the 1911 train!
I'm hoping all the internet forums keep talking up how unreliable they are so the bottom falls out of the market and I can afford more.
I carry Glock--The 1911's are sure sweet to shoot.....(have Kimber)
Riiiiiiight! Good luck with that!
I too carry Glock...but I have an "affair" with my 1911's about once every two or three months Lately I've been spending a lot of time with my Colt Series 80 Elite and using Wilson 10 rd. mags. Lots and lots of fun!
this is truly a touching a post, craig.
I got all weepy.
I have a Deram!
1911s and revolvers make me happy, while glocks make me yawn.
I want to know what happened to all those 1911's the military had in their inventory when the Beretta was phased in.
If they had sold them to American shooters for $300 each they could have paid for all those Berettas.
Wouldn't it be a wonderful gesture to present one to each member of the military with their Honorable Discharge?
I'd be down with that.
Craig isn't even a real person.
He's a little program I keep on my computer.
See?! Just like that!
