Gold Dot, HST, Winchester Ranger - there are probably little statistical difference between them. If one is easier to find for you that might be the best choice.

I use gold dots. But seriously, quality hollow point from any reputable ammo maker will be fine for punching holes through flesh

I carry 147g Gold Dot or HST in my 9mm, no preference, whichever I can find.

I am generally a heavy for caliber guy.

Go on youtube and watch some of the ballistic gellatin tests guys are doing with and without 4 layer denim. Some interesting results. For instance 124 gr HST +p might not penetrate quite as deep as 124 gr HST standard pressure, but the +p will expand more. Also rounds that are great in 4.5-5" barrel may not expand consistenly when shot out of a 3" barrel. HST were awesome preformers in the videos I've seen, even out of short barrel 9mms.

It's hard to go wrong with any contemporary middleweight or heavyweight jhp in 9mm right now, unless you're running a really short bbl.

    Gold Dot 124gr +P
    HST 147gr
    HST 124gr +P

In that order. I use whatever of the above I can find.

Corbon DPX or any of the ammo with Barnes TAC-X pure copper bullets. Pure copper HP's are second to none!

Have carried a Gen 3 G-19 as EDC for the past few years and have always carried Remington Golden Saber 124-gr +P.

Depends on the gun. I would recommend different ammo for a P938 than a G17.

I use the same ammunition in all my 9mm pistols.
