BHP. It’s the classic 9mm. Everyone should own a BHP at least once.

A SIG P226 or P229. There are lots of really nice used ones if you don't want to pay new prices, even German made/proofed (P226) ones in the $600 range. I agree on an HK also.

I reluctantly agree with this. I like my CZ’s, but I’m now down to one, a Shadow 2.

I allowed myself to be lead down the SP-01 Tactical trail, and for my needs and desires, it had been over rated pretty big time, so I moved to sell. It took me 3 months and a heckuva beating to move it along.

If I were the OP, I’d be looking at S&W 59 and 39 series guns, Sigs, Berettas, HK’s, and Browning.

Thank you! Appreciate that lead. That’s the kind of info I’m looking for.

Appreciate all the input and recommendations!

For daily carry it is hard to beat the Kahr P9 or the Kahr K9

Both are amazing. Just wonderful carry weapons.

The K9 is an all metal design, while the P9 has a polymer frame.

As others have mentioned, a Browning Hi Power, a Beretta 92. They both just shoot soooo dang well.

You might consider a Walther PPQ M2 9mm. It comes in 4” and 5” versions.

p320X5 over the m17 . Makes for a far better range handgun . Maybe a "officers sized " 1911 9mm for carry . A little sear spring tuning for 3.5" trigger and then thin grips for a 1.1 width and a better shooting handful than a smaller lighter 9mm . My wifes edc is a Kimber stainless ultra I bought for a thin small CC for me but she laid claim to it . Or a nice compact gen 2 or 3 s&w like a 669 or 6906. Hey you buying spree to pick what you like .

    Consider for HD/CCW:

    SIG P225A1
    CZ 75 PCR
    Walther PPS M2

For carry I like a Glock 19 or lightweight CCO 1911 (mine is a Dan Wesson Valkyrie). Right weight and size for me.

For HD/Range fun I really like the Sig 226, especially the SAO Legion

For me, it’s the P30 LEM, P226, and for sure the Glock 17. If you wear large to X-large gloves, you want a full size 9. The gen2 glock 17 is to me, the best carry 9 of all time.

Anyone who can legally carry, should.

I would recommend a HK USP9 service pistol full size

Second the High Power and HK USP, and for something good, yet different, a Lionheart LH9 or Regulus.

Yeah there are two micro 9mms that are perfect for concealed carry and yet retain decent capacity. For me at least the P365 makes a lot of sense.

Of course were I to go into action theres nothing I'd want in my hand more then my G19.

    I would consider a H&K USP and/or a SIG P228.

Well I picked up the first two on my list, the FN 509 and the Sig M17. Hope to get to the range this weekend. Love the ergonomics of both of these pistols.

    "All opinions welcomed".

My opinion is that a 9mm is better for a carry gun but a 45 ACP is better for a home defense gun. Hope you didn't get rid of any 45 that you were able to shoot well with. It might also make a good range gun so that you can stay in practice with it.

I also like the CZ75b SA only that has the same carry mode as a 1911.

No firearms were sold or sacrificed from my collection to make this 9mm conversion happen. I have a G30s and G21 and those are my main HD guns.
