I am trying to load 9mm with 3.6 grain Tite Group, 124 grain lead RN, and a 1.125 OCL. This works great in Glock/Lone Wolf pistol and a SIG P226, but not in a old Sig P6 (police version of P225). I use the barrels as a gage when reloading, they should drop with a "thunk" and flush with the barrel end. With the P6 and lead I have to shorten the OCL to 1.070 to get a good seat and the pistol go into battery.

With a plated lead 115 grain RN the 1.125 OCL works great.

This is a light load, can I safely shorten the OCL to 1.070?

With a 124 LRN and 3.6g of TG you shouldn't have any issues at all shortening to 1.070 OAL. I've loaded 125g molys down to 1.100 at 4.0g and have no pressure issues, makes 133 PF out of my 5inch Spartan 9mm.

You are "probably" OK. I always go back to starting loads. However, 3.6gn is a starting load. 3.3-3.6gn is about as accurate as I have found with TiteGroup and 121-125gn lead bullets.
