I just bought my FIRST 9mm (G17) and was wondering what is the most popular factory ammo used at the GSSF matches.

Try the 115 FMJ Winchester white box from Wally World(walmart)!!
About $10.50 for a hundred pack.

    American Eagle(federal)115's

Other excellent, reliable choices are Blazer and American Eagle. My first choice would be the American Eagle. Do not use WinClean.

I have used 10's of thousands of American Eagle and never a problem. Ammoman.com is your best bet $155 per thousand delivered.

If I can't shoot my reloads, I get UMC, by Remmington (Yellow box). I think it shoots a little softer than the Winchester, and I like their brass. WinClean is OK for plinking (maybe), but not much else. I'll also use Seller and Bellot.

Is there a theme here? Yes, get the cheap stuff, and lots of it. :)

If I couldn't use my reloads I would go with American Eagle or Winchester White Box. I'm with mcginnes and DannyR on WinClean, too many misfires.

I use Blazer or reloads. Remember no reshoots if trouble with reloads. You can't save brass (takes too much time) so why use new stuff? Of course if you can't reload buy ammo.
