Our predecessors have been smarter and better organized than we of the cave man myth have been led to believe.

dont you know, we are a pale shadow of the technological marvels of past civilizations. they were way more advanced then us, did more then us, and we will never be as good as they were.

they burned the library of alexandria not in a drunken orgy of pillage, but as a deliberate act to keep us primitives from accessing that wealth of advanced knowledge.

to hear some people say it anyway.

Little know fact is that the village would still be thriving today, but the HOA directors were jackhats and drove all the owners away.

Once the owner/renter ratio shifted, it was time to burn the libraries.

Either that or perhaps it was burned in response to an urban youth getting speared by the city guards while trying to jack someone's chariot :)

More likely long dry spell caused a big settlement problems.

MMGW caused by their rocket jetpacks and flying cars.

Pretty sure the library just let too many homeless people spend all day there reading scrolls so people just stopped going there.

While good exaggeration... The truth is we have forgotten knowledge, mad to relearn it a few times. My understanding is the recipe for cement was lost for a while. One area discovers a new method to smelt cooper, tin, bronze, iron... They get attacked for it. Sometimes it's lost.
It's rather amazing the pyramids. Heck I saw a recreation of a permanent SD Native American round shelter.
The group was there who made it. IIRC it was mostly made by the women from supplies the men gathered. This group used skid loaders, chain saws (Edges scored with axe to look authentic)
They said how it could have been done with just human power, horse to drag.. They were amazed.
Throughout history there have been times of great advances in knowledge, and depressions of same.

Local business. Was largest producer of silo staves in area. I took tour long ago. Sales went down, they reduced shifts but material cost locked in, cement staves store well...
Finally they shut down. @15 yrs later they wanted to restart. Huge mess. They were going to nursing homes to ask. " how do we run these machines". The machines work. They just can't figure it out. So they truck in from Wisconson. ...
I saw piles of " attempts"

I wish you would try harder to write in a way that was easier to understand.
