So I noticed on my 96fs that the ambi safety sticks out about a 1/4 of an inch on the right side of the firearm. While the left side is flush. See picture below.

My newer 92fs has both sides flush with the slide. I'd really rather just have a left side only lever, are those available?

So is this the way they came from the factory in 05? Or has this been monkeyed with? It works just fine. I just imagine it could easily snag and either disable the safety or snag on clothing during a hurried draw.

I dont plan on carrying this for protection. More of a nightstand/range weapon.

So just curious if others have seen this before?

Ok thanks, that makes me think, this is the way Beretta intended it to be.

Which doesnt make a lot of sense to me, but Ok.
