    I didn't see this posted anywhere.

    For those not familiar with the situation:

    For those not familiar with Dons... Don's is "that gun store" in Indianapolis. Extremely high prices, catering to the "gang banger" types, etc. Most people with any sense never buy a gun there, and only go there to use the range, because it is one of two indoor ranges in the city.

    Pretty strange situation. Don's needs to give his employee he who called 911 some English lessons.

    In case the audio on that link does not work (it didn't for me for some reason).. try this one:

    The writer of the news story needs to use more generic descriptors instead of the participants last names...I had to read it four times to sort out who was who.

    It would be easier to read and understand if "the clerk" and "the shooter" we're plugged in...especially with the quote from the store owner that refers to "he was killed instantly"..."he" who? The clerk? The shooter? Help a sleepy brother out.

    Crazy story, prooves there are super crazy people out there. I guess there is one less wacko, and I hope the clerk recovers completely. Regardless of the reputation of that gun store and range I'm sure everyone agrees he shouldn't have to risk being shot just doing his job.

    So the guy rents the gun, goes shooting in the range, then comes back in and while returning the gun he shoots the clerk behind the counter.

    Weird.

    I just wonder what was the back story. Was the guy trying to rob the place, did he have a beef with the clerk, or was he just a stupid noob and had a ND at the worst possible time and got shot dead for it.

    I thought about the "stupid noob having an ND" angle.. but a couple of the local news reports said the clerk was shot twice. I don't know if he was hit twice, or if he was shot AT twice. Couple other reports said the customer had recently dropped out of college, etc (ie, maybe a depression angle)

    Who knows. That store is known for a lot of "undesirables" going there.

    It would appear Open Carry did not prevent this from happening.

    I would think that a 911 call from a gun store should go something like:

    Hi. {BANG} I'd {BANG} like {BANG} to {BANG} report {BANG} an {BANG} attempted {BANG} holdup. {BANG} No {BANG} need {BANG} to {BANG} hurry. {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG}

    {reload}

    {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG} {BANG}

    Take your time. . He's not going anywhere. .
