There was a popular thread as of late about +2 mag floor plate extensions for the G30. At some point in the thread discussion the point came up that the only real way to add any +2 to a G30 mag, is to add one to a 9 round G30 mag, as +2s will usually NOT fit on the standard 10 round G30 mag. There are +0 replacements for the standard 10 round G30 mag, but there is really no way to add a +2 extension to it due to it's length. Therefore, usually the only way to do it is to add a +2 to the 9 round G30 (which is also basically the same as one would add to a standard G29 mag either as a +0 extension, or a true +2 extension) to get the 9 round G30 mag to a total capacity of only 11 rounds. Not really a real gain over the standard G30 10 round mag, but a gain none the less. These +2 extensions are probably more of a real gain when used on the standard G29 mags at 10 rounds standard (making them a real +2 now at 12 rounds), but I am sure prefer them on the 9 round G30 mag one way or another.

These +2 extensions were pictured quickly on the 9 round G30 mags (and one standard 10 round G30 mag) for reference, and some by themselves - (post # 11 - https://www.glocktalk.com/threads/glock-2-extension-for-g30.529849/#post-28142730 ) but not shown in the actual gun it's self to give a better idea of how they look both ALL installed on the mags themselves AND in the gun too. Here's what they really look like -

    1. The standard 9 round G30 / G29 10 round mag as it comes with a factory floor plate for reference.

    2. The Pearce +0 (PG-29) - does not add any capacity either mag (G30/G29) one way or another, but some prefer the added extension for their pinky. 2. Pearce 9 round G30 or G29 standard.jpg

    3. The Pearce +2 for .45/10mm (PG-1045+) - adds a true +2 to either the 9 round G30 mag, or the standard 10 round G29 10mm mag. NOTE: Will NOT fit the standard G30 10 mag! 3. Pearce +2 .45 on 9 round G30.jpg

    4. Gee Plate mag finger extension for the 9 round G30 mag / 10 round G29 10mm mag. 4. Gee Plate 9 round G30.jpg

    5. The Lone Wolf Dist +2 45/10mm extension - fits 9 round G30 mags / 10 round G29 mags. Adds a true +2 to either the 9 round G30 mag, or the standard 10 round G29 10mm mag. NOTE: Will NOT fit the standard G30 10 round mag! 5. Lone Wolf .45+2 - 9 round G30.jpg

    6. The Glockmeister +2 45/10mm extension - fits 9 round G30 mags / 10 round G29 mags. Adds a true +2 to either the 9 round G30 mag, or the standard 10 round G29 10mm mag. NOTE: Will NOT fit the standard G30 10 round mag! 6. Glockmeister .45+2 - 9 round G30.jpg

For reference only - The Pearce PG-30 - does NOT alter the capacity of the standard G30 10 round mag. Does NOT fit the 9 round G30 mag OR the 10 round G29 10mm mag. A replacement for the standard G30 10 round factory base plate ONLY. Pearce 10 round G30.jpg

Hope this helps someone or all who were wondering how these various +2s look in the G30/G29 in the gun.

NOTE: All these +2s that fit either the 9 round G30 mag or the 10 round G29 10mm mag WILL fit on standard hi-capacity .45 G21 mags or 10mm G20 mags with no problems to add a +2 capacity to them also.

Any chance you have pic of the OEM 10 round to compare?

Thanks, I keep trying to talk myself into a G30 and like the 10 round mag with he Pearce base. I have pinky extenders (Pachmayr brand ones) on my G26 and 42. With NY 10 Round Limits, that G30 is a nice package for someone like me with XL hands - a bit chunky to carry I think, but I'm 6'1" 195, so certainly can conceal in cooler weather or night stand gun. If they came out with a "Gen 5" that would probably seal the deal - but I won't hold my breath.

Thanks for answering my novice questions.

Not a problem, half the reason for this thread, to share what I have learned over the years from life with the G30/30SF, and what I have found with various factor mags and aftermarket extensions / base plates for them.

BTW, in my experience the Pearce PG-30 is the MOST comfortable ones to use and seem to help the most with the G30 when shooting it (at least for me).

I have always been unhappy with the Pearce +0 (PG-29), and the Gee Plate for the G30/29 was even worse.

(But I DO love my Gee Plates for my G26 though - they fit the grip better and give a PERFECT grip on the G26 for ME)
