How would 8mm military ammo work on wild hogs?I saw some on ammoman.com it was made in 1954 I bought a few boxes at the local gun store but not sure if it would work or should i just buy some new softpoints from the gunstore?

check your state regs on ammo. in most states FMJ is a no-no for hunting. HP, SP are better anyway.

8mm surplus ammo is hot. 8mm commercial loads are weak. I've heard that Sellier & Bellot (sp?) has the fastest hunting rounds out of the regular major brands and it's cheaper too. Check the load/velocity info on each manufacturer's web sight and tell us what you find out.
