Went to the local gun range today and put a few hundred rounds through my Glock. As I left, I promply backed into a tree. Range fee - $12.00. Car damage - $881.00. Shooting really is an expensive sport. At least my wife got a good laugh.

Not with a $500 deductible. I will have to wait to buy my next gun though. Bummer.

Oh how that intoxicated feeling after squeezing off rounds lingers. Maybe let her drive next time?

(And I quote), "That's a big bite of a crap sandwich."
Sorry to hear about your car.

It's a little late to suggest this, but, back into the parking space, and drive out.

You all make me laugh. My stupidity for not paying more attention. Nobody was hurt - so that's a good thing. In light of what is going on in Haiti, I have nothing to complain about.

Its OK I've done similar things, but I had a good reason! I had just dropped off my very good looking girlfriend at the time and was watching her *** in those jeans and as she got out of sight to where I couldn't see anymore, I put my big truck into R so I could see BAM right into the front of her sisters car. LMFAO! Trying to explain that in the morning to her parents was a mo fugga at least they thought it was funny.

Don't put your finger on the trigger till you're ready to hit what you're aimed at.

Don't put your foot on the gas pedal till you're ready hit what you're aimed at?

Sorry to hear it, thanks for sharing the laugh.

   .....gotta love it.

When I was fairly new at my job I was 'watching' all week at a client. On Friday, I promptly backed into their tree. My coworker drove by pointing and laughing.

Got out, no damage to car, no damage to tree, except that I leaned it back a little (it was a youngin, so I got out and pushed it forward...then promptly walked in all embarrassed and told the client what I did.)

They came out and inspected, and said no worries...then I was assigned that client a few months later when I knew what I was doing...

My issue car was a like a 1990+/- Mercury Topaz. I was embarassed to drive it. Old ladies would lagh at me and then pass it. Right after I started, I backed into a tree one day pretty hard(Good thottle response in reverse, but not drive). Smashed the bumper and even bent the trunk lid in about 2". Went on my merry way. Someone asked me about it in the parking lot a few days later and I just said "Oh, that was there when I got it". Never got asked about it again.

I still get a little chuckle about that.

You didn't factor in ammo cost.
It was probly over a $950 day at the range.
