We all know what needs to be done... The only thing we should have a debate about here is who should get the opportunity to do it...

I think this is a hate crime ----- right.?

It seems to be premeditated. He had a bottle of flammable liquid and knew what he was going to do with it.

I mean, to rob someone is bad enough. To shoot that person is worse. But to set the victim on fire??

Texas has something for him. It will take awhile, but he'll get it.

If there's a place for summary execution, this is it.

Too bad it takes as long as it does. After he's indicted, he should be taken in the back courtyard and have the same... err, I meant serve justice swiftly to this coward monster.

Bring back the southern chain gang. Make thugs like him break big rocks into little rocks until they drop dead. No TV, no air conditioned cells. Just hard work 16 hours a day 6 days a week and "the box" for disciplinary action. Shoot them if they try to escape.

    Fixed it for ya.

Accidents happen in prison, on the way to long painful years on death row, eventually followed by hell.

We need to start removing violent criminals from our society immediately. I am sure he has an extensive criminal history. Pretty brave with an old woman. If that was my mother.......I'd go to jail, but he'd go to HELL!!!

Did the woman actually die? The linked article suggests she was in critical condition with burns on 40% of her body (very likely this would kill a 76yr old though).

This happened here just a few days ago, at a check cashing store. Dirtbag came in, put a bottle w/ gasoline under the window, squirted the clerk. Pulled out a book of matches, and said he'd light her on fire if she didn't hand the money over. Thankfully she complied and was unharmed.

Now, we need to regulate gasoline, to make sure criminals can't use it to kill or harm.

Hey, it's worked well for guns..

    Sick world we live in.
