30th B-day coming up next month. I've been informed that my wife will buy me a gun worth $700, I wouldn't mind spending less, just can't go over. What would you guys pick? I've got an example of most things, I guess I'm just wondering if you had it to blow, what would you pick up? Keep in mind this is something I'm going to keep, I never get rid of gift guns like this.

FYI: I'm thinking about a 29 at the moment. My only problem is that I can't imagine shooting it that much when I've got my 20 around, and I have a 36 that I carry a lot.

There are some great little pocket guns that you can use as a BUG for your G36, such as a Kahr PM9 or CM9, or even an LCR or J frame. Either that or a GP100 or a used 686, because revolvers are just fun.

You could buy a draco, a tax stamp and put a stock on it for around $700.

A suppressor would be fun too.

I will say this though, a bunch of Glocks are boring. Get something like a 1911 or a nice wheel gun.

+1 Its hard to beat a good used S&W 686. If you don't have a revolver.

I got a stainless steel CZ 75B for my 30th birthday. Don't waste a special occasion gift on a Glock if you already have others that look exactly like it. Get creative.
