There's that cool CIA/NSA spy on me feature on smart TVs that's all the rage these days.

At this point I don't even adjust the volume or channel for the twenty minutes a day it's on. I think it's been on HLN (the Forensic Files channel) for about six months. Power button on, I eat my delivery while I toss some scraps to Captain Frisco and Busket Babbles, and then I turn it off.

My wife bought me a Vizio 4K tv that has everything on it. I have no idea what 99% of it is. Or what it does. I watch the local news for about 10 minutes a day on it. And maybe once a month we watch a movie on Netflix or Amazon Prime. If someone is spying on me, they will probably just see the empty couch in the living room.

..... and possibly become the topic of a "ever just not see anything" conversation/thread. :tbo:

How did we ever watch TV in our youth? Features we had:
    On/off
    Volume knob
    Channel knob
    .....that's about it.

I don't use the smart features on the TV. There is no easy and reliable way to get the sound from the TV to my home theater.
