My 6.8 shoots Silver State Armory 110 grain Accu-bonds flawlessly, however when I reload the same bullet, same overall length, I cannot get the gun to run more than a round or two without a stoppage. I have been all over with the H335 powder charge, from min to max, same results. Should be noted that the reloads are very accurate.

    Any advise would be appreciated.

Stoppage as in what, a jam? Do you crimp the bullets?

The gun shoots fine, and ejects fine, however it fails to pick up a loaded round and the bolt closes on an empty chamber. Not very much crimp, slight amount.

    That sounds interesting.

Thoughts off the top of my head, check the magazine for any burrs or something that doesn't let the next round move into the correct position.

Do you polish/clean your brass when you reload?

Have you checked the diameter of your rounds with the factory loaded rounds and made sure they are the same?

The magazine are PRI, and seem to be very high quality, I do clean and polish the brass.

I never checked the diameter of the reloaded rounds, just the overall length and trim length. Are you thinking maybe I should try small base dies? That may be the ticket, thank you.

sounds like just not enough power to cycle the bolt all the way.

Increase your powder charge, and make sure and lube it up good and let it role. You could also try a different powder too.

What buffer are you running? Auto carrier, or semi carrier?

    Hope that helps.

Can I ask how many grains you are loading? Is there any signs of pressure?

    Thanks again.
