I’ve managed to find some deals on both and the price difference is $100. Which would you choose and why? If I go with the type 1 I will buy the battlewerx anti flicker sealing plate. Just wondering what the better option is.

If you are new to red dots, you might appreciate the larger ring of the 507c.

If you are going to use it for extreme conditions and are already very good st finding the dot on presentation, the RMR.

I have many of both and they are both excellent.

The auto-adjust light sensor on the RMR is better than the 507c.

Most people don't recommend the auto adjusting RMR. Get the fixed version. The biggest problem is if it's dark and you're using a flashlight the dot may not be bright enough. These applies to the dot more than the ring but even the ring may be hard to pick up if it's too dim.

    Very simple,
    For duty use RMR
For range use Whichever you prefer.

The Trijicon has proven itself superior to me. Don't be afraid of the Type-1 (although I would use that fact to negotiate a lower price). The issue is the battery contacts, and Trijicon will (or would) do an update if you contacted them.

So far we have more issues with RMRs than Holosuns at local matches. I'm an Aimpoint guy, but the 507c and 510c have really impressed me.
