5.11 is making another run of kilts after their 2012 April Fool joke backfired and folks wanted them. Check their website. Kilts and guns are a natural combination.

Ya don't need a sporran with cargo pockets. I'm a Utilikilts junkie too...kilts are great for long drive comfort and FREEDOM anytime. Was a booth at the Prescott Highland Games offering firearms instruction courses and it was mobbed with kilties the whole time. The fact that 5.11 offered the tactical kilt as a joke, then had so many real orders they made it up, speaks to kilts and guns too. I do agree there are much finer kilts to be worn than the 5.11 offering. At least kiltmakers that let you specify the length of the kilt so it fits properly.

Not only do kilts offer great concealment for a thigh holster, they offer easy access for electric butt plugs too.

See you're in New Mexico. BEST kiltmaker in North America is Kathy Lare who graduated from kiltmaking school in Scotland. www.kathyskilts.com She lives in Albuquerque....AND, her husband Rob works at Ron Peterson's Firearms...at least check her out. Great prices for handsewn kilts since there's no middleman. And she's best there is at finding the mills with the tartan you want.

I'm in so dak and an hoping to not return to nm.

I'm thinking a sportkilt in royal stewart with pockets. You'd be surprised what a utilikilt can hide in a pocket. If the pockets on the sportkilt are as big as the utilikilt then I'll be in business.

Sorry nurse Tim, saw "N.M." on your avatar and thought wrongly that it stood for New Mexico. My bad. Being overly helpful again....

All the SportKilts I've owned only had a little hidden pouch pocket, sort of IWB, center front...big enough for a coin purse maybe. And most difficult to access.

And 427, that's him. Kathy kept her maiden name as many do these days - guessing for business. Say hello for me.
