I've been shooting Zero 230gr FMJ bullets over 8.0gr of AA#5 with an OAL of 1.250", but I find that it leaves a lot of black residue in my gun. My 9mm loads using AA#5 don't have the same problem. I'm guessing that since the 45ACP load is near the minimum, it's dirtier than normal. I'm going to pick up a pound of AA#2 to load up some range ammo. I'm wanting the velocity to be similar to most factory range ammo. Between 810 and 850fps. Thinking 5.2gr should do the trick out of a 5" barrel. Does anyone have any tested load data for AA#2?
