And that is totally ludicrous selling them at that price. They probably overpaid to begin with to get the boxes...($36-40)...and trying to flip them for $60. I've actually sent sellers on GB emails, asking them WTH is their problem.

T-series is a much more modern design, but the Hydra-Shok and been used longer and taken out more BGs.

Both are great rounds, but given a choice, I pick the Ranger T's.

they both are about the same in teminal performance. you may get a lager expanded bullet with the T.

both may plug with heavy clothing.

The T-series is a lot newer design. Actually, it is tone of the newest JHPs on the market, having been designed just a year or two ago.

This round has been updated in design a bunch of times. It hangs with any round on the market now and is good choice the Hydrashocks have been prone to plug but any load can if I had no others I would carry hydrashock but go with the ranger t first

I carry RA45TP's in my G30SF. I paid $28.90/50+frt in a case buy late last year. You should test fire any 45acp +p round first because unlike 9mm, the +p's in 45 really do kick noticeably harder. You may not like them.

Ranger T or HST, not Hydra Shok.

I remember reading the 'old style' Hydrashok was the king stopper out of a 5" tube. It had a street record of some 91% or so.

When they reshaped the hollowpoint cavity to make it more feed friendly, they hurt it's one shot stopping percentage. It's old school anyways.

HST, Gold Dot, Golden Sabre are all better IMHO and in that order.

Closer to 96% with the newer improved ammo.

Or 99% with a head shot regardless of ammo design. LOL

I would definitely go with the Ranger-T if those are your only choices. Like others have said, the Hydra-Shok is an older design more pron to clogging with heavy clothing. That being said it is more than enough to get the job done if that's what you have.

I like HST, Ranger-T the best in 45. I like the HST slightly better because my gun shoots it better. Both are great mean looking rounds.
