    Hi Mas,

Thank you for all your input, it is most appreciated.

Wouldn't I have somewhat of an "advantage" (higher velocity) if I used the "regular" .45ACP 230 gr Gold Dot vs. the 230 gr Gold Dot Short Barrel in a Glock 36?

    Thank you

Coin toss. The folks at Speer are convinced you'll get a more dynamic wound channel out of the Short Barrel load when you're using a short barrel pistol. However, lots of police departments issue standard 230 grain Gold Dot for the short barrel Glocks used by off duty cops and detectives as well as for the full size guns, and I've heard no reports of performance degradation.

    best,
    Mas
