    Hey Guys! Good day!

WHAT's your preferred .45ACP ammo for defense and protection and WHY?

I'm looking at Winchester Ranger 230gr +P vs Winchester Super X 185gr. But I'm not sure if my Spartan can handle the +P's(?)

Anyone of you may have a better info.

    Any input/comments are appreciated.

    Thanks Bro.

Limited ang available defensive ammos dito sa atin. Just load up on the ammo that will work reliably in your pistol.

Sa 45 Norinco ko, i have those Federal Premium Hydrashoks which i got from Nashe. :)

Winchester Ranger 230+P's are a bit too harsh for my gun, a 185gr +P would be ideal.

Fed hydrashok 230 gr , ok na. Kahit GI Ball, hindi na tatayo kung nasa COM ang tama.

hindi ma selan sa bala ang .45, kahit hardball bala mo patay pa din kalaban mo, me penetration ka pa, in fact there is a school of thought that says you dont need hollow point for .45, it comes pre-expanded:thumbsup:

    cant say the same for 9 though....124gr. +p only:thumbsup:

    i'm not a +p fan. not in .45 and not in 9mm.

i have 230gr hydrashoks and same weight golden sabres.

but i would be perfectly confident with 230gr fmj armscor.

    kung 9mm, jhp dapat.

It's good to note that Armscor 230gr FMJ is a "still" good choice. Cheap and reliable. Hehehe.

Armscor arrow for an an Armscor bow.

Like other forum members, I only use 230gr FMJ ARMSCOR for the .45, 9mm is HP.
Someone said on the errornet "The 9mm may expand, but the .45 will not shrink"...Tama ba yun?

Top chocie for .45 is the 230gr Hydrashok, its a bit on the expensive side. I preffer the 230gr Ranger T which is about half the price of the Hydrashok:) It expanded nicely when shot at a water bag.

Cebuboy, where did u get ur ranger-T? been looking for those quite a while now. Out of stock na ang stronghand for a while and dont know when theyre gona get their new stocks. I've been carrying golden sabre for d meantime but noticed more recoil compared to d ranger-T.

    thanks!
