I thought about it for a minute, but decided to stay with 10mm instead. Although .40Super is a little more powerful, you give up some things. First of all, the ammo is REALLY scarce. Even if you reload, the brass is scarce, and expensive. Bullets are plentiful since it uses .400" bullets. Second, the platform is a compromise. You have to use a G21 slide, which is severely under weighted for the cartridge. The 10mm G20 slide is much heavier and thicker (internally), and would be the ideal platform, but cannot be used. This is a problem because the lighter slide increases recoil. That means you have to run a REALLY heavy recoil spring, which decreases reliability. Also, frame battering would likely be an issue.
Personally, I think your needs would be better served with a G20. With a 6" barrel, you can get very close to .40Super ballistics, and you get the benefits of the heavier slide. Plus, ammo is plentiful, and with the large 10mm community, components, brass, and load data will never become rare. I just don't think there's enough benefit to compensate for the issues.
EDIT: Actually, I just looked at Double Tap's .40Super ammo, and I can beat most of it with 10mm. I just chronographed some 135gr Nosler JHPs out of my 6" G20LS that averaged 1800fps flat. His .40Super was at 1755fps from a 6".
