    Hello Mas

In your experience, are the Gen 3 G23s & G22s durable & reliable?

I've read stories of these guns being more prone to breakage and being unreliable with weapon lights attached. Presumeably the Gen 4 was designed to correct this?

My carry gun is a Gen 3 G23 with WW silvertips. It has been reliable, even with the M3 weapon light attached. Can I trust this setup or should I trade up to a Gen 4?

    Thanks!

    Ira

I'm one of those who's had no problems with G22 with or without the light, but that's one guy and one gun. Some others have had problems: see this thread for a wide-ranging discussion of issues and fixes:http://www.glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1343147

Make sure your springs are up to date, and if you use a unit that screws on, such as the TLR, make sure it's not screwed on too tightly.

Bottom line: if YOURS is working fine, there's probably no reason to change.

    best,
    Mas
