My roomate told me about this forum, so I decided to check it out. I picked up a brand new G17 + 3 mags for $398 (429 after tax) a few weeks back. I would have to say that a gen3 Glock brand new in box + 3 mags for under $450 is about the best gun for your dollar you can get. G21 is next on my list. I am anxiously following the gen4 G22/23 to see if the .40 issues have been addressed. Can't beat the ability to have a 9mm, 40S&W and a .45 Glock for the price of a 1911. :wavey: I don't think there's anything even as close to a Glock that isn't at least 2 or 3x the price.

The LEO price at my local Glock distributor is $398 for the gun + 3 mags. I believe you can get that same price thru GSSF, but I am unsure what all is needed to do it. There is a GSSF section on here that you may want to look into for your next one.

I just purchased a g17 too and drove all around town and the best price I could find was $499. Still great value for the price but $398 wow.

$398 is better than the $450 I just paid. + shipping & transfer! They wanted nearly $520 in the stores by me.

I am not completely happy with the case support, and the recoil.I don't want to get into the 1,000,000th kB! issue on here, but it is a small issue that I am not worth taking the chance on. Neither are problems, they are just issues that I have with the guns. I didn't mean to imply that they were bad or poorly made, just things that I personally find bothersome. I am hoping the gen4 will turn me into a .40 Glock guy, though. I love the round.

I didn't exactly make it clear, but this was a gen3 and not a new gen4. I am not sure what the price difference is, but I am more than satisfied with my gen3 for now.

You have them so confused because you obviously qualify for the Homeland Security discount. That explains the pricing you recieved. For those not aware Police/Mil/First Responders, etc. all qualify...

    And welcome by the way!
