Decided to start scanning my negatives.

Bought a Minolta some time back and decided to continue scanning. Thought I would share some aircraft shots. Even w/ multiple passes and HUGE files, still notice some grain from time to time even with 100ISO.

Glad I am all digital now.

Anyone recommend a good filter, you own, for haze or UV?

How are you scanning the negatives? How much did the scanner run? Tell me more about this process.

Bought a dedicated negative/slide scanner by Minolta.

The key is "the white glove treatment" to reduce dust.

    As far as a high grade scan: 10-12 minutes 16x sampling w/ a 16mb file: ouch!!! Glad I switched to D80 & D200.

I am not happy about the D80!!!!!

In the short term; scanned some more: With the best setting with my 35mm negatives off of 100ISO; grain city. It seems to have the most impact on light colors.
