What's up with the 357 Sig barrels? I own a G22 and a G23. It's well known that the G23 and G22 can accept a "drop in" if so desired. Also the magazines are interchangeable. Will I not be able to buy directly from Glock if I call and tell them I don't own a G31, G32, or G33?

I think they want to confirm your firearm is a newer model capable of handling the much higher pressure 357 sig round.

Tell them its a gen 4. Or find a later gen 4 gun on line to get serial number.

All you have to do is tell them which 40 caliber Glock you own and they won't have any problem sending you the barrel. They just don't want anyone putting a 357 Sig barrel in an older two pin gun.

That doesn't make sense though. Glock made all 3 of the 357 Sig models in Gen 3. I checked it out, a Gen 3 G23 and a Gen 3 G32 are almost identical in specs. The G32 is a tiny bit heavier in weight.

You mean they don't want a 357 Sig barrel put into a Gen 2 or Gen 1, right? Because Glock still makes G31, G32, and G33 in Gen 3. Using the "compare" feature on Glock's website, I compared G23 to the G32, both Gen 3 - they are close to being identical, with the G32 being a tad bit heavier.

Or buy one on eBay, or I think lone wolf even carried oem barrels at one time.
