mga sir nagtatanong kasi yung faderhood ko hindi pa kasi naka hawak ng 357 na pistol. ako rin eh hehe by the way, the question is i've seen yung shape ng 357 ammo sa pistol is different sa revolver anung difference nila sir? mas hi velocity ba yung sa revolver? model 19 S&W yata sa fader ko (hindi lng ako sure) hehe yun kasi mga gusto nya. parang after mahawakan yung glock ko parang na curious sya if pareho din ba yung bala ng 357 ng glock sa S&W. bear with me mga sir ha kunti pa kasi exposure ko sa 357 eh. :)

sori pero yan ang di ko masasagot :) pero between 357sig and 40cal.... mas accurate daw ang 357sig and mas malakas daw. pero ang problem with 357sig is wala masyado mahanap dito.... and mahal daw. sa reload nman ng 357sig P30 isa! and mahirap ata maghanap ng mag-reload for u... so di sulit!

as i understand yung slugs nila pareho magkaiba lang sila ng shells, yung sa revolver mas mahaba lang ng konti sa 38 special yung shells, and yung sa 357sig parang shell ng 40 but necked down to accept a 357slug. in fact sa glock all you need to change is the barrel to have either a 357 glock or a 40 glock.

sa reloading naman if you have the 357sig dies any reloader who reloads 40 can reload it for you using 357 heads and syempre a little testing with the powder recepies.

.357 Sig bullets are generally 125 gr. Got a chance to shoot an Fil-Canadian's modified 1911 in an indoor range a while back. It's loud; snappier than the .40 S&W, and the muzzle blast is just terrible in an indoor range.

The advantage of the .357 Sig is that is has a flat trajectory. And very fast, too.

Some people use the caliber to hunt javelinas and coyotes in the US. Some have even tried it on small deer.

.357 revolver na lang, it will take the .38 ammo as well if you are on budget. plus you don't have to switch barrel as compared to the glock. but i think the best is try it sa range muna so you can feel the difference.

if power is what you are looking for, .357 magnum is the one you will want. you have many choices with regards to loading recipes:) The .357 sig is not as powerful as the magnum, it's more like a .38 super.

Is there a suffix (or is it prefix) "M" on the serial number? Ang alam ko may re-call ang 58g, pero yung earlier model lang.

mga bro, for safety reasons, if you plan to reload .357sig ammo, pls verify the correct heads to use. ang alam ko it should be 9mm heads for the .357sig not .357mag heads. Pls remember this is a high pressure round. 9mm heads have .355" diameter, .357mag heads have .357" dia. regardless of the weight, if you happen to use .357mag heads w/c dia. is larger than the .355" (9mm) and you shoot it thru a .357sig barrel w/c was dimensioned for .355" heads, the result could be extreme over pressure to the gun and very dangerous to the shooter.

As for reloading it, I havent done any yet but a friend (Panadero) does. So, ito lang alam ko. all you need is a dillon die set for .357sig ( if you are using a dillon set up.) Cal .40SW shells can be used. the resizing die reshapes them to bottle-necked shape. Using small pistol primers, slow burning powders, 9mm heads, the cost should be the same as the .40. Btw, stronghand has .357sig shells.

Power- .357sig was developed primarily to have the stopping power of .357mag in a pistol platform, so .357sig is as good as the .357mag. Ive shot both enough to have a fair comparison of their handling. Their blast are almost the same, malakas talaga. Recoil, pareho din malakas, but the sig is gentler due to the semi-auto's set up w/c distributes recoil for a longer period of time, while a rev in .357mag will kick w/ a single solid force. The advantage of the sig is in its firepower. You can have it in hi-cap in a smaller gun and lesser weight as in a glock.

    hth.

by the way, 4inches barrel yung 586 nya. start sa AEM yung serial. sorry hindi ako masyado enthusiastic sa revolver mga sir. pag revolver pinag uusapan it escapes me kung ano yung make, model etc nito. hehe but yes i agree pag gusto mo talaga malakas andun sa revolver yung malakas. :)
