would it be an advantage to replace the 40 cal barrel in my G22 with one that fired 357 Sig in terms of GSSF. I have found the accuracy of the 40 cal leaves I small amount to be desired. I notice this when shoot next to some one shooting a 21. Thnaks

I don't think it will make any difference in GSSF. In the three stages shot, you have:

    6 shots at 25 yards
    18 shots at 20 yards
6 shots at 15 yards (paper)
3 shots at 15 yards (steel)
24 shots at 11 yards (plates)
    18 shots at 10 yards
    6 shots at 5 yards.

Your "A" ring is 4 inches, your "B" ring is 8 inches in diameter. Your plates are 8 Inches in diameter.

Some of the most accurate shooting in GSSF has been done with 40's.

The main idea is shoot what You shoot the best and feel the most confidence shooting. Both will do the job. It may also make a difference depending on your ammo ( commercial/personal reloads). My personal choice between the two is the G22, .40 but this is a personal decision base on what I feel the most comfortable shooting. Remember in GSSF it is Accuracy first with speed blended in to the equation however if you look at the previous results you will see you still need a fair amount of speed with the accuracy to win.
