    SPARTANS!!! PREPARE FOR GLORY!

One of my favorite movies and a rarity because I saw it in theaters, AND bought the DVD.

It just didn't translate to the big screen the way Sin City did, for me. I love most everything Frank Miller, and absolutely love the graphic novel. I just thought the movie's story wandered to much. I would guess because the comic's story is so simple: the emperor Xerxes's ambassador travels to Sparta. There he pisses off the Lakonian king. The king's bodyguards march to Thermopylae, where they hold off the Persian army for a few days. Finally, the Persians slaughter the Greeks. The end. They added a bunch of crap that wasn't in the book to make it "feature length".

Somehow, I knew Hollywood would screw it up. They didn't let me down.
