Not sure if this is any good but I am running Hornady TAP 110gr GMX in my pistol (6”) and sbr (9”). Both suppressed.

I haven’t looked at any others since this is what work gives me.

If you don't care about subsonics the go to seems to be the 110 grain Barnes black tips for just about everything.

When I had mine loaded for SD I had Hornady Zmax in it. Cheap at the time, reliable and good effect down range out to 100.

More than one site I looked at touted the Fiocchi load as one of the best for HD, along with any other load using the Hornady bullets. I got a 300 BO rifle for my birthday and sighted it in with S&B 124 grain FMJ and will be using the Hornady Black 124's as my HD load. The 110's, especially the Barnes load, are regarded better for hunting purposes along with, you guessed it, the 124's depending on bullet construction.

The V Max is a varmit bullet and I’ve not had favorable results shooting pigs with it, I would certainly not suggest it for self defense.

I think the Barnes 110 is probably the best all around load for the 300 currently.
