2nd 17 slide on 2nd Gen 22 frame - does it work good?

    hello all
    i have 2nd gen glock 17 and i want to replace the frame
    does 2nd 17 slide on 2nd Gen 22 frame will work good?
    i know i need to replace the ejector and trigger bar.

    Your 2nd gen frame is a 2 pin gun (trigger pin, trigger housing pin). The 3rd gen frames are 3 pin guns. The third pin is the locking block pin located just above the trigger pin.

    It is NOT a good idea to put a 40 top end on a 2 pin frame. It was designed for use with the 9mm cartridge and will eventually fail due to the increased pressure of the 40 cartridge.

    The idea was just the opposite for the reasons you wrote
    the top is 17
    the frame is 22 2nd also have 3 pin

    oops! The 3 pin will handle all the top ends. 9/40/357/45GAP
