I bought plenty at $7 and $8. Right before this craziness started I got an email from centerfire and they were selling a lot of 10 steel 30 round mags in an ammo can for $99! I wish I would have bought a few of them.

I remember that ad---those were the S.Korean mags though. I almost ordered without calling but I called to verify and sure enough S.Korean they were.

Oh I didn't realize they were crappy mags. I never called though I just saw the email. Didn't really have the money or the interest for them at the time anyway. I've got a little over a dozen good quality steel mags that work great so I'm happy with that. On a side note I thought all the steel mags were all pretty good? What's the difference in them and which ones are crappy so I can know which ones to possibly avoid in the future. Most of the ones I have are the eastern european ones that cdnn had awhile back. That and the two steel ones that came with my wasr, not sure what they are?

Are these just like the ones Aim had at 9.99...then 11.99...then they sold out.

$30 isn't cheap...but its better than not having them at all. This craziness could last for another 6-9 months or maybe even years. Mag prices "should" eventually come back down...but I doubt we will see $8-9 prices again.

If I "had" an AK (terrible ice fishing accident this winter) and only had a few magazines...I would pick up a half dozen or more.

I would rather felt a little raped than not have them at all.

Well I paid $36 for supposedly "unissued" bulgy steels that showed up rusted, worn finish, with gouged followers etc. Before the panic, the same advertised as "unissued" mags were perfect and packed in grease.

Sent them back but it cost me $15 in shipping.
Buyer beware in these times. The pics these sites show of the mags aren't always what you get.

I by no means was saying this was a super deal or anything; however, just posting in case someone absolutely wanted to buy mags right now.

Someone must have thought it was a decent price. They're all sold out.
