I went to the local outdoor bullseye range today, shot at 25yrds.
I actually wanted to shoot at 50yrds as well, but the place was crowded and I didn't want to slow the cease fires running back and forth to 50yrds while everyone else was shooting 25.

I used a couple of my trusted all around guns, a K frame and 1911.

Mod 64NY1 and Kimber Cust II.

Ammo was .45acp 200gr SWC from Black Hills and .38sp was Magtech 158gr FMJ FP.

I have two 25yrd groups with the Kimber, since I had planned to shoot 25 at 25yrds and 25 at 50yrds, but things got crowded, so I ended up sticking with 25yrds at the cease fire, but the second target had a sticker-so you'll see the holes aren't as clean.

Oh, the Kimber ran fine with the lead SWC ammo.

I ran all 50 thru one target with the Smith

I still want to get the 50yrd shooting, maybe Friday it won't be so crowded.

The stew was pretty damn good, beef and veggies. The rolls were those frozen Rhodes jobbies you get at Alberstons....also damn good.

Parker was there to help with dishes.

Nice shooting, as always. Yummy looking stew. I'm sure Parker enjoyed the cleanup!

    Good shooting.:)

My standard 45 load is a 200 gr lead SWC.
As it happens about 8 people have shot my new Ruger SR1911. All commented on the load and asked what it is. I told them it's a 200 gr lead SWC that I've been loading since the early 1960's.

I keep a lot of it on hand.

Berto, nice 50 shot group with the K.

Alright, next nice day I'm breaking out my DW .44 revolver and posting a target.

    :)
