So I went today to purchase my first Glock. 23 Gen 4. They had a number in stock, but Only white labels with 10 rd. mags.
I asked about it and he said that's all they are able to get right now. I know people are saying its tough to find Glocks right now, but they probably had 100 in the display.... Does this sound right? I was really excited about 13 rds. I guess it's not a deal breaker / or should it be? Is it that difficult to find what Glock has listed as the standard 13 rd mags on their website?
Should I just get it and look elsewhere for the higher cap mags?

Also, sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm new. Looking inside near the firing pin there are some red marks. Is this normal, maybe from the test firing?

    Thanks

Unless you're in a restricted state, they should have come with 13 round mags. Best guess is that they removed the factory mags and replaced them.

No, I'm in Florida. It did have a white label on the case though, which if I understand, means only 10 rd mags...

If they're white label they were intended for ban states, so they came from Glock with the 10 rounders.

Some distributors are having trouble getting standard capacity magazines, so they have been filling orders with the low capacity magazine (white label) guns. That's probably what happened in your case.

Ok, thanks. Makes me a bit sad... But at least I'll have my Glock.

Any answer about the red marking inside near the firing pin hole?

Yep this is pretty common. In Arizona where I live most every new gun comes with the higher cap mags but now we are seeing more low cap mags because of the shortage. Gun stores are getting what they can to fill the display cases. Dont worry wait and things will go back to normal again.

I would not put it past any store to take out the standard capacity magazines from their new guns to sell on the side. Then put in the neutered 10 rounders to sell since nobody wants them. That would be a deal breaker for me, on principal alone.

Buy the 10 round mags. That way you can move to CA, NY, MA and soon, CT without changing. I'm not serious. I'm venting.

My LGS had some Glocks that were destined for a ban states, that what was shipped to him. Yep, had 10 round mags in 23s and 17s. Also had a higher trigger pull if I recall correctly. (I didn't pull the trigger, that was what I was told). I'd rather have the Glock with 10 round mags than no Glock. My 19 did come with hi-cap mags. Luck of the draw so it seems.

No way! Where am I gonna buy my Glocks if I do that?

    Just kidding...
    Shooters in Jacksonville, FL
It may be closer to 75 than 100, but its a lot.

Can anyone help answer my question about the red marks inside the gun?
    Thanks

So are you accusing them of forging the white labels on the cases also? I'm not buying it...in more ways than one!

No, not in this case, just something to be on the watch for in general.
