Twenty nine years ago, today, 220 Marines, 18 sailors, and 3 soldiers were killed in the deadliest single enemy inflicted strike on Marines since Iwo Jima. The French barracks was also struck and 58 French airborne troops were killed. It's hard to stop the enemy with an empty chamber and no magazine in the weapons of sentries. Thanks all to the insane ROE in place. Never forget the fallen of 1/8, 2MarDiv.
