I am getting ready to unload some I have been sitting on forever, think I have 1K 9mm JHP, 5k 9mm FMJ, and about 4K of .22LR.

Have a Gun Show coming up, may load the SUV, and take a run at selling off to finance something I have been look at.

Anyone want to comment on fair, no gouge prices?

First, no such thing as price gouging in non-emergency conditions or non-essential items (food, water, shelter)
Second, you're asking about market price. You'll find out that at the gun show. The one I was at last weekend had lots of ammo at market prices, just like online but actually there and available. Ammo will fetch whatever people are willing to pay at their location

Thanks. Would like to just pay for parking, and stay out in the parking lot.

I sold 1,000 rounds of 9MM HP today for $800 - $40 a box.

It is some stuff I had on hand since 2007 - paid $18 a box for it and at the time thought that was insane - the sad part was it really wasn't the ammo I wanted - I just got it because it was still available and less that some other 9MM ammo that was available.

I also sold 200 rounds of 165 grain 40S&W - I decided to go all 180 grain and this stuff has been in the back of the closet since 2006. The outside of the boxes were a little ragged - and they were marked 07/2006 $14.99 - I was only able to get $35 a box.

I also sold an M&P40 - tried to sell it a couple years ago for $250 and the best offer I got was $150 - I got tired of carrying it to the gun show - so I stuck it back in the safe -

I took it with me today and only got 20 feet into the show before a guy ask me about it - I wanted $500 - he said how about $400? I said no I need $500 - he said how about $450? I said no I need $500 - he said OK I will give you $500 but I am paying you in $20 bills!

I also sold some 1911 parts (I no longer own a 1911) an X-grip for a G26 I no longer own a G26. I found this stuff while looking for something else.

I sorted through my AK mags - I had 46 - so I sold 24 of them for $10 each - I know I should have ask a little more - but I didn't want to mess with it - sold 10 to one guy and 14 to another.

$1,700 something in total - I walked the show with a pocket full of cash that was just burning a hold in my pocket and could not find one gun I wanted. All I bought was a $5 bore light - I turned mine on last week and it would not turn off - so I figured I could afford a new one!

The idea of a "market" price is a little strange at the show I went to today.

I wanted to check out 40 S&W prices before I priced mine - I noticed - two ammo sellers directly across an aisle - less than 10 feet apart -

One was selling 180 grain Winchester white box $85 for 50 rounds - the other was selling the exact same ammo for $30.

What is the market price?

I also saw a lot of 230 grain FMJ 45 ACP for $24 a box (50) but other sellers wanted $60 and even $75 a box. various brands.

I also saw a stack of Federal 115 grain 9MM FMJ - full case only - $985 + tax, when I first noticed it there must have been 20 cases - later in the day when I went back after lunch he only had 3 or 4 left. Yet other places were selling 9MM FMJ for $18 a box.

People are maybe lazy or dumb or so rich they don't care how much they spend.

I also saw a guy selling 2 AK47 under folders - they looked pretty nice - as I walked up I thought I heard him say he wanted $500 each for them - and even though I don't need another AK I was seriously thinking I was going to be buying both of them!

But I had misunderstood - the guy said he wanted $5 THOUSAND EACH for them -

I am pretty sure he carried them back home - but I wouldn't bet money on it.

Haven't been to a gun show in twenty years. It sounds like they are interesting as heck just going to see what stuff is all about.

I was happy to find buyers willing to pay my asking prices - but really disappointed at the selection of guns for sale.

A few of the dealers that have always been at the show with tables full of guns and storage boxes full of guns to resupply had noticeably fewer guns on hand.

I like going to gun shows so I can compare several guns I am interest in before I decide - the show yesterday would not have been worth the price of admission to look at empty tables.

I wouldn’t sell any Ammo right now. If I did it would be $700 per 1000 rounds of the cheapest 9mm FMJ. That’s what it’s going for on GB which is where I’d sell it.

I recently sold some...not sure how I did.
250rd bulk box of Speer 124gr GDHP +P reclassified ammo: $180
850rds Federal American Eagle 115gr FMJ: $340

The latter was via gunbroker, and I think I got hosed for not springing for any of the "extras" to make mine a featured listing. It was so burried in their system, that even knowing exactly what to look for, I had a hard time pulling up my listing in a search.

1000rd cases of 115gr FMJ are going on gunbroker for $500-$600 + shipping.

I still have another 1500rds of 147gr FMJ factory ammo I'd like to sell. The question is, will prices go higher, or have they already peaked?

PSA has 9mm CCI Blazer Brass FMJ 115 gr. box of 50 for $23.99 in stock right now. Plus tax and shipping I’m sure.
It’s a hard city out there.

ETA: In the time it took me to post this, it sold out.

Some of those prices are crazy. We have a small shop and don’t sell 9mm and other calibers anywhere near what some of these places do

I can tell you exactly what gun shows are all about...the $10 parking and $20 admission fee. The organizers are the ones making the real money.

Old, worn-out, overpriced guns no one wants anymore, but plenty of leather purses and beef jerky. It's all a big joke.
