    I really want to take a look at their Wiley Clapp Commander. But other than that, the S80 system doesn't interest me. The .308 rifle is really becoming popular and Colt is finally jumping aboard.

    Excuse my ignorant question guys, I am no way a 1911 expert but love the platform. Why is Colt the prefered base for some of you even though some of you are not a big fan of Colt's production guns? I read Heirloom prefers them as well, but I was just wondering why Colt is prefered.
