No pics of any events, just random shots from around town. It's cool to meet people from Holland and the US and Russia in one place all partying and having fun.
I've met people from all over the US, all over Europe, etc. People are super friendly, walking around with their country's flag, just looking to go party. :D

FWIW, it's spring time over here, trees blossoming, and warm enough to just walk around with a light jacket during the early afternoon!

So, are You saying that You didn't make it farther East than where the Gas Town is ;)
Granville Street looks better on your pictures than the real thing, so many congratulations to You.
Robson seems to be even more crowded than usual BTW, I guess that the cops are everywhere those days.
Ok, I have to admit - Downtown is a nice place as long as You are staying away from the back alleys :whistling:
    Thanks for sharing.

We have a drug problem so the bad areas of downtown with all the crack addicts? Yeah, Overdoses and dumper diving isn't a noncommon thing.
I made it all over downtown!
There's soooo many cops around. But IMO the Vancouver police are the best ever. The nicest, down to earth people.

Crime is the same as any moderate sized city.

Great pics! Man I love that town. I've spent a few weeks there for various conferences and for the fireworks shows in August. Staying downtown between Gastown and Robson somewhere was awesome.

I don't think I'd care to be there right now with the crowds, but you've put the itch in me to head back that way this summer maybe.

Vancouver Downtown is nice as long as you will stay on the streets.
If You need the adrenaline rush, just PM me and I will provide you with the list of the really entertaining alleys for a visit.
Wearing the uniform and body armor wasn't enough for a few guys I worked with in those alleys.
Once it's getting darker the zombies are leaving their hideouts.
This is general rule with Greater Vancouver (I was working in Surrey-Whalley ring as well, so I guess I'm qualified enough to form such opinion ;)).
Now with the cops all over the place it must be a little bit different reality than it used to be, but the Olympics will eventually end one day...You know.
I have to confirm that the VPD is great to deal with.
They were always supportive for me and really saved my *** twice while I was working Downtown.
One of the guys I was working with joined the force and soon after I was receiving the calls from him...that I own him a beer, as he caught me on his radar in one of those alleys during the night
    Great, very professional force.

Just on a little bigger scale than usual plus there are some areas of the city perfect for those in need of training before heading to Iraq :whistling:
Are You looking for Canada's poorest postal code?
    Bingo!

I really liked there for some reason.
It's like a natural wonder of Canada.
Cambie Street to the West, Clark Drive to the east, the Waterfront to the north and Venables Street/Prior Avenue to the South, with Hastings Street running down the middle of the neighbourhood.
    Go there after the midnight.
    You won't be disappointed
