In less than two months, Topton Action & Practical Shooters and Topton Fish & Game Association will host the 12th Keystone State Ballistic Challenge on August 16 & 17, 2008. As always, the help of volunteers is necessary to make this event a success.

We will require some range help on Friday the 15th for stage set-up, and Range Officers are needed for both Saturday and Sunday. Registration on Saturday generally runs from 9 AM until 3 PM, and Sunday 9 AM until 1 PM. Range Officers can elect to shoot the match at the end of the day Saturday, first thing Sunday morning at 8 AM, or during lulls with competitors on Saturday.

As in the past, I will opt to exchange shooter entries for the maximum number of Glock pistol certificates possible to reward the efforts of the range help. This year, as we had done once before, one pistol certificate will be reserved for a drawing. Only 200 tickets at $5 each will be sold for the certificate, making the chances of winning very good indeed for ticket buyers! Tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis, and open to staff and competitors alike.

Please take a minute to look at your calendar and plan to help out at the 2008 GSSF. Reply here or send me an email at [email protected].

Best regards, Dave Miller and Larry Eckert

Please help Dave and Larry if at all possible. They put on a great match at Topton. If I can make it, I'll help out.

What time on Friday?

We will start set up at 8 AM for the local crew, and will welcome anyone else who can help whenever they can get there. Match set up is pretty simple, it the canopies, etc. that take up the time to make things look nice. All help is greatly appreciated!

Also, the kitchen is open at the Topton clubhouse, so there will be a better variety of food than years past!
