    I heard that story on the radio a couple of weeks ago. The Brits were in negotiations with the Burma government at the time.

    This is very cool. Hope they are in decent shape...........

    I hope the crates were hermetically sealed. Myanmar can have some wet monsoons and very hot humid weather.

    I hope they are in good shape, but I am not sure they should be flown. They are history.


    Then again, with all the interest in WWII aircraft, I am surprised that someone isn't building new ones.

    One report said they were sealed with cosmoline (the devil's grease) and oil paper.

    One can only hope.

    If the stories prove correct, they are Griffon powered Mk. XIV's. Better than the bubble -D Mustang at lower altitudes, but much later to to the game. HH
